A VERY LOVELY Antique French Sterling Silver Egg Cup Set. It finely crafted by skilful Parisian silversmith Maison Veyrat, active 1840-1849, Paris. This adorable Egg Cup has shape of cracked egg shell, standing on casted tripod feet the shape of rooster's legs, decorated with foliage accent toward the connection. It comes with a Sterling Silver Egg Spoon by also important Parisian silversmith of XIX century, Ravinet & d'Enfert.
Hallmarked the French Minerva No.1 mark on each piece, which guarantees .950 purity solid sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. Maker's mark of Veyrat, active 1840-1849, at 20 rue de Malte in Paris. Spoon's maker mark of Ravinet & d'Enfert, active 1891-1912.
