A very delightful and versatile size 13.7" (35cm) diameter, perfect for a cake, pastries, or cocktail/bar serving. The pattern is classic Rocaille rococo style, raised contoured rim with shell accents, hand-engraved C shaped scrolls and rocaille scallop borders. You can see the fine details and craftsmanship of hand-engraving even from backside!

Hallmarked French Swan Mark, which guaranteed at least .800 purity solid silver (can be sterling, upper .925), used in Paris between 1893-1970, for the silver objects of unknown origin passed through a public auction. We assume this lovely platter/tray is French or Italian origin.
