Offered for your consideration is this very beautiful Antique French Sterling Silver Tea/Coffee/Chocolate Cup & Saucer Set with elegant guilloché engraving decoration. Guilloché is a kind of engine-turned engraving technique that was very popular in late 19C to early 20C in Paris. This Cup & Saucer Set showcases very classic late 19th Century Parisian style pattern with fine wavy lines and tiny dots. The centralised oval cartouche is in Napoleon III era style, embellished with hand-engraved monogram.

Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 Titre mark on cup and saucer, to guarantee .950 purity sterling silver. This is one of the highest quality sterling silver in the world, purer than standard .925 sterling silver. Maker mark of French silversmith's lozenge shape, but the letters are not legible.
