This Art Deco style Sea Shell design is very elegant and decorative in an unimposing way. It's extremely versatile and the dish is deep enough for serving almost anything - appetisers, desserts or sauces. It would look great on a well-set table.
Hallmarked 1. French Minerva No.1 (1st titre) mark on each dish, which guaranteed .950 purity sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. This is one of the finest quality sterling silver, higher than standard .925 sterling silver. 2. Maker's mark of Tetard Frères, 4 rue Béranger. They succeeded business from Edmond Tétard (active 1880-1903), specialised in fashionable hollowware, rather than flatware. The Maison Tétard received a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889 in Paris.
