This is a very beautiful and in excellent condition Antique Russian 84 Silver Sugar Sifter or Tea Strainer from late 19th Century to early 20th Century. A timeless classic elegance - this fabulous Sugar Sifter is wholly made of solid 84 silver (not silver-plated) and feels very heavy in your hand. The bowl is very deep and punctured with dotted holes in symmetrical design. The handle is free from any form of personalisation.

Hallmarked 1. Kokoshnik mark of Alexander Rounanov, St. Petersburg, 1899-1908. 2. "JA" probably the maker's mark, could not find the reference. 3. French importation control mark "Swan", used in Paris 1893-1970.
