This Serving Tray is wholly made of the finest quality French sterling silver .950 purity and weighs 1,016 grams (32.66 Troy ounces). The design in in elegant Louis XVI style, finely embellished with raised berried laurel swag and interlaced ribbon border on the edge. It is quite large and heavy, quality piece to treasure for many years to come.
Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 Titre mark to guarantee .950 purity sterling silver. This is one of the highest quality sterling silver in the world, purer than standard .925 sterling silver. Maker's mark of Emile Puiforcat. The Maison Puiforcat was established on 1857 at 18, then 16 rue Chapon in Paris. Emile died in 1883 and his successors maintained the same maker's mark, flourished to the one of the most renown Parisian silversmith till today. There are also serial number 13 and mark M (or upside down W.)
