DELIGHTED TO HAVE FOR SALE is this very beautiful and rare Antique French Partial Gilt Sterling Silver Double Open Salt Cellar, finely crafted by prestigious Parisian master silversmith Maison Odiot. This Open Salt Cellar has unique form - oval-shaped bowl is divided in two section to serve Salt and Pepper in one piece. The bowl is removable and the decoration is in elegant Louis XVI style. It stands on four casted feet with very rare cow hoof accent at the end. The bowl's interior has gorgeous Vermeil gilt finish.

It comes with two sterling silver serving spoons by equally famous Parisian silversmith Veyrat to complete the set.

Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 Titre mark, to guarantee .950 purity sterling silver. This is one of the highest quality sterling silver in the world, purer than standard .925 sterling silver. Maker's mark of Maison Odiot (the mark of 1825-1894) and "ODIOT A PARIS 7066". The spoons are also stamped Minerva No.1 and maker's mark of VEYRAT, active 1832-1840 at address 10 rue de la Tour in Paris.

Salt Cellar measures 3.7 inch (9.4 cm) x 2.7 inch (6.9 cm) x 2 inch (5.2 cm) tall, weight 233 grams
Spoons measure 3.3 inch (8.5 cm) long, weight 17 grams.
Total Weight of sterling silver 8.03 Troy ounces (250 grams).

Excellent Condition with trace of minor use. Some age-related light scratch marks. Otherwise in excellent shape and ready for use. The Vermeil is still vivid and gold richly presented.
